It was built in 1985 as part of the original Expo Line. ==Location== The station is located in southern Burnaby. It is immediately (130 m) southwest of the intersection of Griffiths Drive and 18th Avenue, near Edmonds Street, a short walk (700 m) south of Kingsway. There are several ''City in the Park'' high-rises adjacent to the station as well as plans for more transit-oriented development nearby.
